Traditional advertising is no longer something customers want to waste their time with. It is filled with mazes of dangerous clickbait, AI slop, and paywalls. Banner ads are ignored, print ads are tossed, and everyone is aware of it.
 

It's a hassle that needs to end.

We call what we do "Sponsored Journalism". Our sponsors are prominently displayed, our content is independent, and our community is served without slant or influence.

We do sell ads. We use the same "Sponsored Journalism" structure to advertise your product, business, organization, etc.  The story is the ad.   With a catchy and motivating title that pulls your customers in, a well crafted feature, one-shot, or story that shows who you are and what you offer, as well as a punchy close that shows off your ad content and gets them in for the sale.

  • Premiere Page Sponsorships - These are the header sponsorships of each category page.  These are $80.00 per month or $25.00 per week.

  • Sponsored Story-Ad.  These appear in both the online edition and the print edition and are permanent parts of The Bulletin.  They will always be accessible online, through our print archives, and as a matter of record.  We charge $250.00 per full length story-ad.

  • Announcements such as births, deaths, marriages, graduations, certifications, retirements, etc are free. If you are unsure if your announcement fits this category, here is a rule of thumb.  Life events are free, business promotions are paid.

  • Classifieds are $10.00 a week, and run in the digital and Weekend Edition.

  • Special, commemorative, or sponsored editions are crafted on a per job basis.  Please inquire.

  • We welcome payment arrangements. Regular on-time payments are reported to credit bureaus, which may help build your credit history.

  • We keep aside a yearly budget of open advertising space for businesses and organizations in need.  Please contact us to see if you qualify.

  • Parent or Guardian must sign consent for any student under 18

  • Must comply with all local laws, regulations, as well as city and school regulations and restrictions

  • Must be sponsored by a faculty member (English, Journalism, Communications, or adjacent preferred)
  • OR May be sponsored by an established local area business or organization
  • The sponsor signs off on the student's participation
  • The sponsor serves as both liaison and point of contact between The Bulletin and the sponsored student
  • Student correspondents are paid $15.00 per published photo and $25.00 per published story

  • We always want to hear from freelance correspondents interested in working with The Bulletin

  • The correspondent must report accurately, write cleanly, expect to be edited, and meet deadlines.

  • Our rates are $30.00 per photo published and $50.00 per story published.

  • We need Original, warm, accurate, and local reporting.  No opinion.  No wire copy.  No recycled content.

  • Attribution for every claim. 

  • Photos must be submitted in high resolution and properly captioned (full names, action and/or context, location, date)

  • Example:  John Smith operates an air wrench at Smith's Garage, Warsaw, during a busy Saturday morning, April 12, 2026.
